Continual Christmas and all the best for 2011

Just came across this again (had found it via flickr a couple of years ago). Whether one celebrates Christmas or not, the sentiment expressed here is bang on.

Let
No Pleasure tempt thee,
No Profit allure thee,
No Ambition corrupt thee,
No Example sway thee,
No Persuasion move thee,
to do any thing which thou
knowest to be evil;
so shalt thou always live jollily;
for a good Conscience
is a continual Christmas.

I've never read that one before and I really like it.

Strange that I found it a couple of years ago and then forgot I'd found it. And who knew Ben Franklin wrote poetry as well as inventing false (well, ok, wooden) teeth? Amazing man.
